Ang Kaya Natin Movement for Good Governance & Ethical Leadership, uban sa pag-abag sa Merck, Sharp & Dohme (MSD) Philippines ug Jesse Robredo Foundation, nagsugod na sa pagpangdawat og aplikasyon gikan sa local government units (LGUs) nga dunay outstanding public health initiatives alang sa 2017 Champions for Health Governance (CHG) Awards. Subay sa United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals on Health ug Department of Health (DOH) nga gambalay sa pagkab-ot sa universal health care alang sa tanang Filipinos, ang CHG Awards naghatag og pag-ila sa LGUs nga nakapatuman ug dunay inobasyon sa iyang health programs. Ang mapili nga top five LGUs makadawat og tropiyo ug cash prize nga P100,000 matag usa ug MSD. “The CHG Awards is one of the ways in which we showcase the success stories of LGUs that have made an impact in their communities, particularly in public health. In the spirit of Kaya Natin, we want to acknowledge local leaders who uphold transparent and accountable governance through their programs,” matod ni Vice Mayor Amelia Hernandez, Executive Director sa Kaya Natin. Gawas sa DOH, ang awards gisuportahan sa Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG). Kini ang mosunod nga criteria: Good Governance (30%), Local Leadership (15%), Transparency and Accountability (15%), Public Health Governance (70%), Effectiveness of Health Programs (20%), Innovativeness of Health Programs (20%), Health Resource Management (15%), ug Community Engagement in Health (15%). Ang awarding ceremonies ipahigayon sa Mayo 2017.“We look forward to receiving the entries and hearing how LGUs made specific steps to increase people’s access to healthcare. MSD’s continued partnership with Kaya Natin toughens our resolve in seeking out solutions and introducing innovations that will improve the health of every Filipino,” pamahayag ni Dr. Beaver Tamesis, president and managing director sa MSD.
